Land Evictions in Cambodia

In 2007 many of the residents of Boeug Kak lake lost their home because of development projects. The lake was covered by largest urban wetland prior to the Shukaku Inc. land project.

Since then, the community have been protesting for their housing rights leading by charismatic personalities such as Yorn Bopha and Tep Vanny. This story is about their fights in the streets and at the court when Yorn Bopha was released from jail after spending a year behind bars
